New Power Amplifier Projects.
Your preamp efforts look like they will be a winner especially with JFET front end and Aikido style output stage for low noise and great PSRR.
Would be nice to see remote sensing feedback between speakers/amp incorporated into the M-125 (would require 4 wires per speaker rather than 2)
But even more interesting is the Octode amp mention in the December 2009 edition of audioXpress and J Broskie's tubecad website as posted on 6NOV09. Here's an excerpt.
" A. J. van Doorn's New Amplifier: the Octode
Buy the November 2009 issue of audioXpress today; well, tomorrow, if you must. Why? In this issue, four great articles await you. The first is an article on the newest tube, the TechTube (Mullard Blackburn) E813CC. Interesting and important. The second is a must-read interview with Malcolm Hawksford. I have been a big fan of his for decades; you should be, as well. The third is an interesting article on measuring cable distortion differences. Be sure to read the “Lessons learned” conclusions, if nothing else. The fourth—and most interesting—article on a new tube-power-amplifier topology by A. J. van Doorn (remember his new hybrid OTL topology that I examined in blog 140). He, along with Malcolm Hawksford, is someone with whom I would love to sit down and drink a beer—including a pad of paper and two pencils—as he creates truly fascinating circuits.
Mr. van Doorn names his new design the Octode Amplifier."
