Hi All,
I have what I hope is a simple/easy question. I have an original Dynaco ST-70, of which I've replaced the selenium rectifier with a diode and done the yellow sheet mod on. I'm about to replace the stock transformer with a higher-powered triode USA version, to try out some KT88 tubes I have around. I've read that the KT88s both consume more power but also do better with a SS rectifier (or at least wear out tube rectifiers faster). My question is can I use a Weber WZ68 SS rectifier (with TDA) without having to remove the yellow sheet mod?
Thanks!
Pete
