I am fixing a Dynaco PAT-5 solid state preamp for a friend that had a few issues, one of them a bad transistor, with a odd number "SE4020".
I did the usual searches and found its "equivalent" replacement as a NTE161 transistor. The NTE161 is a metal transistor where as the original is plastic, not that it matters. I just purchased one on ebay but does anyone have a SE4020 transistor or know of any other substitution. I don't have to much faith with the NTE sub.
Thanks,
Sal
PS: I also posted this on the antiqueradios.com forum.
