Wattage ratings of Mark3 resistors Empty Wattage ratings of Mark3 resistors

Post by garyb Thu Jan 06, 2011 4:16 am

Hi, new guy here, I am ordering parts for Mark 3 boards. What are the resistor ratings? Another question, the instructions that came with my boards specify 12AT7 while the Mark 3 order page specify 12AU7 tubes.
    Thanks

    Hi,

If you mention 12AU7 tubes and 12AT7 tubes then you must mean the VTA Mark III upgraded driver board.

The standard gain board which uses 12AT7 driver tubes uses all 1/2 watt resistors.

On the lower gain board which uses 12AU7 or 12BH7 driver tubes most of the resistors are 1/2 watt except ..

    R16 is a 1 watt resistor
    R18 is a 2 watt resistor
    R20 and 22 are 2 watt resistors
    R12 and R14 are 2 watt resistors
