I scored an unopened Chicago Transit Authority first double-album a year or so ago for $10 bucks. Questions 67 and 68 shakes the foundation. If my neighbours tick me off I just light Free Form Guitar off, seems to calm them down. Twisted Evil
Was never too impressed with America; trio of Air Force brats. But we did share a nice pizza, up on the 3rd floor of the Paramount in Seattle while doing the obligatory interview.

Ahhhhhhhhh, dem were da days . . .

I have a 1973 Japan release two album grey gift box edition of Chicago,
not many of thise around! Cost was 3000Yen, as printed on the back of the box!

Dave, I,will look for that recording of Art Pepper. I don't know why, but he's my favorite. Even among other greats in my collection like Sonny Rollins, Coltrane, Sonny Stitt.

I can't even sit still through his version of Too Close For Comfort. The notes he doesn't play, but implies between the notes he does play heighten the dynamic tension between anticipation, frustration and gratification.

I cant even stand to talk about it. I must go home and hear it.

Noob, it's Art Pepper: Unreleased Art, Vol. V. Stuttgart May 25 1981.

Can't find it on vinyl but the CD is about as good as a CD sounds.

In that case . . . I wonder if the public drop box folder has sufficient capacity to hold it?

I'm not asking that for any particular reason. Just purely a techno-geeky curiosity thing. You know, about whether you could put the recording there. And send me a link. Just so I can see if it fits.

As mentioned earlier, I got mine from Amazon. You can also Google Art Pepper and come up with some pretty good You-Tube iterations of Over the Rainbow, but not quite up to the Stuttgart recording.

Supertramp/ Crime of the Century/ Dreamer.  HD Tracks 192/24.  Actually the whole album.  Except for the bass HDT's sound rivals the beloved MFSL UHQR phono disc version.  MoFi's UHQRs can generate serious bass.  Nonetheless, takes you away to another place/ time and sounds good any source.

I gotta go with School. Sounds wonderful on the MoFi platter, and darned good on Tidal, too, thanks again to Audio Bill for that hit.
Saw Supertramp on their first US tour in a 900-seat theatre in Seattle. One of the few bands that looked like they were just having very good fun.

I just spun Tommy yesterday, had to follow with Who's Next. Streamed off Tidal, though I've still got the vinyl and CD, but the streaming is darned good.
    Baba O'Riley, now there's a tune.
    "It's only teenage wasteland . . ."
Pete Townsend was one of the first guys to use the Moog on rock albums.

I rolled Tommy and Who's Next this morning. Desert island music for sure. The Moog parts fit well and don't sound all that dated like some cheesier stuff from era. Now I am late for work! Doh!

I hate it when that happens. Being late, that is. But if it's for such a good cause as music, what the heck. Some guys waste their lives playing golf and maybe listening to ear-buds. Such a pity. Oh, the humanity!!

Meanwhile, c/out Bill Frisell's "Disfarmer" album. Outstanding. Thanks again to Audio Bill for this beauty.
