Dynaco MK-III aquisition, unknown mod questions Empty Dynaco MK-III aquisition, unknown mod questions

Hi everyone! This will be my first post here, looking forward to chatting about all things Dynaco.

I recently acquired these MK-III's that have been modified and wanted to see if anyone was familiar to what has been done. I am curious to see if the work was done satisfactory so as not to have flames shooting out at some point. lol!

I have hooked them up and set the bias at 1.55, they sounded great with no obvious problems. The big blue capacitors were just held in place with silicone, so I installed clamps that hold them in place. Inside the added chassis, there is two chokes of some kind and what looks like large bypass capacitors. I'm hoping someone can explain what was done and how it benefits the amps. It would be nice to know just what I have here. Thanks to anyone that can be of help!

It could be a paoli build.
The biggest problem with such beasts is that they are undocumented, and may not even sound as
    good as the unmolested amp.
Use them until something breaks, then tear down and build as per dynaco manual. The good news
is that all the original parts seems to be there.

Yeah, I saw some of the Paoli builds online, this it most likely a home brew version of it or something.

I have compared them to my MK-II's, to my ears they (3's) are a little better sounding.

I just wondered if these require a different bias or not, I guess I will just have to assume everything is as it should be.

    Thanks for the response!
