FM-3; Looking for a solution. Empty FM-3; Looking for a solution.

My FM-3 tuner has a bad quad cap. I know they are not available anymore. It's 40/40/20/20 mfd @350V. The heater circuit works, the tuning circuit seems to work.  It passes 120 hz hum.
So with all the aggregate experience of the community here what is the best solution available for my problem?
    Thanks!

Go to the Hayseed Hamfest website.

They will make you a custom can cap and you can request a quote.
Just fill out the quote request form with the electrical values and dimensional requirements.

I'm guessing it will run about $50 with a 3 week lead time

I have rebuilt several FM3's and I agree with finding after market power supply board and replacing the can with a cap board, Less expensive and likely more reliable. Try Dynaco designs they have one for around $49 w/parts. They also have a sonic upgrade kit that is worth it
