i want to find : two complete tube sets for a dynaco ST-70 amp and pas 3 pre amp its taken me over 5 years to put together my system : PAS 3 pre-amp st-70 amp .and Klipsch LaScalla and now its down: [fried GZ34] so i want to make sure that when i need to replace the others i wont have to go without my tunes .i start each day with it and feel lost without it .so when i looked for another GZ34 and saw that nos tubes were GZ34 about 200 dollars and 7199's and EL34's i thought i was out of luck because of price and availability and then i found this forum and now i am no longer afraid of facing each day with out tunes .YOU GUYS ROCK

DynaKitParts.com is the lowest price supplier of the 6GH8A adaptor socket to replace the 7199 tube.

Before I plugged in a really expensive 5AR4/GZ34, I would use a cheap one to test things out.

I have (and I am still using) a Ruby 5AR4/GZ34 I picked up from AES (Antique Electronics Supply) along with the Valve Art (Shugang) EL34B's to test out my ST70 after a rebuild. It was only like $12 for each of these tubes, for a total of about $60. I don't run the Valve Art's as I am running the Russian Tubes right now. But I have them as test pieces. Last thing I would want to do is fire up the amp with expensive tubes to find out there is a problem why the rectifier tube blew....
