hi every one, I'm new here my first post. I'm trying to rebuild a pas3 but i don't really understand what do i need to get. what is the diffrence with VTA PAS3-Z modification kit and TCLA modification kit?

The Zmod is a very high quality trio of upgrade boards - power supply, phono amp, and line amp.
The line amp does NOT have tone controls, as that is considered a compromise giving less than the very best sound quality.
However, the TCLA option is a high quality line amp only, which has the additional gain and EQ for bass and treble tone controls.
The TCLA would be combined with the power supply and phono amp upgrades from the Zmod to complete an upgrade if you want tone controls.

what becomes of the 10 ohm resister when you replace just the rca board, i installed the board and have kept the original line amp so the 510k resister was put back. i wanted to know if the 10 ohm has to be put back also, with that it might be difficult because of the common ground on the board?
