M-125 Installation of Watt / dB Meters Empty M-125 Installation of Watt / dB Meters

Post by happyjack Fri Apr 20, 2012 12:09 pm

Does anyone have suggestions regarding the wiring, circuitry and sourcing of watt / db meters for the M-125 ? What I have in mind would be similar to Mcintosh's use of the their blue power meters.

    Many thanks -

That would be really cool - I would like to do it - but I would use some old fashion black and white meters - McIntosh are nice - but they are obviously McIntosh.

    Charlie -

Hats off to you for your level meter information ! I'm going to take this on as a component separate from the tube amps.

here's a page I found with some VU meters and some kits. http://www.jlmaudio.com/shop/index.php?_a=viewCat&catId=9
Prices seem about right, as I would have guessed a metering kit like the one based on the IM-17 would run around $200.
If there is enough interest in this I could put some kits together for people

    Bob -
After a cursory review of what JLM Audio has in the way of VU meter kits, I beleive I could incorporate them into the M-125s. Yes, I would be interested in a kit. THX Happyjack
