I have been playing with different software in order to visualize some of my designs. I've heard of different people using Eagle 3D and then using POV-Ray to render their designs, but with that set up one needs to know how to use the code, that POV-ray requires in order to render correctly, and Eagle 3D doesn't contain all the models needed to render. I have been using ExpressPCB for years and tried to figure a process to use the board I designed in ExPCB,and have it rendered in a ray tracer. I started by exporting image from ExPCB,into MS Paint, save as a PNG file, invert color, paint board the color I wanted, export board image into Sketchup, design components not found in 3D warehouse, generate POV file with Sketchup plug-in,and then render in POV-ray,and below is what I came up with. I still have more components to generate,I'll post final results.
