About 3 weeks ago I got my VTA ST-120 with the new CCS board and I'm just curious if the VTA ST-70 uses the new CCS board also and if it does ( or can ) do you use 12AU7 tubes in all the sockets like you would on the VTA ST-120?

Re: New CCS Board
Hi Blake,
Yes - All the VTA ST-70 and ST-120 KIT OR WIRED AMPS as of April 1, 2012 now use the VTA lower gain CCS board which uses 12AU7 type driver tubes. Besides 12AU7 tubes, you can also use 12BH7, 5814, 5963, 6189 or the Mullard CV4003. You can also use the ECC82 European equivalent of a 12AU7.
