    PH15 & PH16 phono preamp changes Empty PH15 & PH16 phono preamp changes

OK, here's the latest news. Most everyone wanting a PH16 doesn't need all the gain, as it was designed with low output MCs in mind.
I just checked and I'm out of both PH15 and PH16 PCBs so my plan is to upgrade the PH16 to include a LOW-GAIN version (40-45db gain),
compare to the HI-GAIn version PH16 with 55-60db gain for use with low-output MCs.

I've never even posted the PH16 on my web page yet (even though I've sold 4 of them, all happy customers!)
For those who want the extra features of the PH16 (cartridge loading, AIKIDO output) I'll need to reconfigure the gain structure
if it's gonna be used for cartridges that don't need all the gain. I should have PCBs for both in about a week.
PH16 complete kit will be $670, with 12" wide chassis. For the larger 16" chassis, add $20.
Also note, my chassis supplier is giving delivery times of 4-5 weeks. I'm out of chassis again until the 1st part of July.
I tell you this so if you want to order one, let me know ASAP, so I can get that part ordered for you now and you won't have to wait as long.

Roy: Thanks for the post and update. From it my understanding is that PH15 will have a different power supply PCB, but I'm not sure I'm understanding the changes, if any, to the PH16. Are changes being made to the current existing PCBs on the PH16? I haven't started populating mine yet, and if there's a change on one or either board, I may want to wait and incorporate it instead. I did plan on using it for a low output MC cartridge, so maybe its okay as is? Await your response.

the original PH16 was configured as a high gain phono preamp for use with MC cartriges, as it has 55db gain, suitable for use
down to around 0.2mv output. It seems most of the new interest was to have it available for use with high-output MCs or even MMs,
only needing 40-45 db gain for use with 1 to 5 mv output cartridges.
It's a half dozen resistor changes, now ready to go in a new LOW-GAIN version.
I decided not to mess with the PH15, I'm out of stock and don't plan to order any more of those PCBs,
and am willing to sell off the two remaining PH14 PCBs I have at a discount, and just leave the PH10 and PH12 for those on a tighter budget.
My partner Troy has a high-gain PH16 finished preamp for sale and is preparing another four PH16s for customers.
