Looking for mk iii information Empty Looking for mk iii information

Post by notboating Tue Dec 17, 2013 8:18 am

My first venture into tube gear was a pair of refurbed Mk iii's and I absolutely love them. I have finally achieved that sound i remeber from my youth... In any case, I'm interested in what tubes other Mk iii owners are using in their amps and what the  percieved changes were as a result.

I am also looking for a good resource on adjusting the bias. How to know when to do it as well as how to do it.

    Thanks in advance for sharing!

As regards to bias adjustment, pick up the mkIII manual, om page 11 the procedure is described.
( how often ? Well whenever tubes are replaced or 4 times a year  whichever comes first)
