Paid $90 each for mine ... neener neener ...
I know they're the real deal, because they're valves, not tubes, right? Right??
Actually kinda surprised to see you can get the Mullard branded tubes at any price anymore. Last time I went looking, all I could find was the Canada military surplus ... not a bad thing, as the only thing different is the logo. Bet you could still find some deals on those if you did some digging too.
I've got three now, two just tested and socked away, so that should keep me going for a while.

Wimpies!
I've got a shoe-box full of Mullard GZ-33 valves; so there! Make your 37s look like novals.

Do these rectifiers affect the sonic quality of the amplifier?

Is a GZ33 or 37 the equivalent of a 5U4?

Not necessarily for tone, but a stronger better built rectifier can definitely increase bass definition as it's able to provide much faster response times than a smaller lower quality tube ...
Or not ... the debate wimpers on ...

I believe the pin-outs are the same.
Here's a thread on diyAudio that contains links to the info you seek.
I know that a 5AR4xxxxx and GZ-33, -34 and -37 are identical pin-outs.
