    6GH8 / 6EA8 Empty 6GH8 / 6EA8

Apparently the 6EA8 tube is a substitute for 6GH8. I can get some at a low price.
Is there any difference between them?, and sound?, someone has used them?.

They're both medium mu sharp cutoff, so as long as the pin assignments are identical, why not? the 6GH8 is a somewhat stronger tube, but not so much it should matter in a driver application.

Be sure to get back to us with the results after the smoke clears ... clown

The pins are the same. I am observing that the gain (MU) of 6EA8 is lower in the pentode section.
I still have enough 6GH8A, although the pair I placed about a year ago has lowered its status by 50%.
I'll try the 6EA8 and comment on the result. Thank you.
