SP10 preamp reviews? anyone have one?

I am looking at Roy's SP10 as a preamp to my VTA120. Has anyone heard one? Or better yet have one they can offer up a basic review.
How well does  it match up to the VTA amps , tubes used, burnin time, overall impressions.

I used to have an SP 10 (with a PH 10 built in) and it was pretty nice. Certainly better than the older commercial solid state integrated amp gear I used to have.
But then I upgraded to an SP 14/PH 14. No comparison. If you can swing an SP 14 I'd highly recommend it.
(Power amp is an VTA ST 70.)

I have and use a SP14 with a VTA ST70 in my main system. Daily. Not exactly what you asked for, but in the ball park. I would recommend both to a friend. The aforementioned components replaced reputable pre (with separate power supply) and mono power amplifiers costing factors more and I never looked back (I use this 12k+ worth of stuff now with my TV.....). I have also tried a passive preamp, a Pass B1 buffer as well as a Bottlehead Quickie, none of which is close to the SP14 and I believe a SP10 is not far from there.

Hope this gives you some idea.

tubes4hifi may i see that response from that buyer? Also is this a full on tube pre or just a buffer pre? I'm looking for a good match for my adcom 555 and polk sda 2b's

sorry WindStriker, looks like I must have deleted that sent email, I get thousands of emails every month and so I clean out/delete almost everything after a month or two.
