McIntosh MX 110 pre amp into VTA ST-70 Empty McIntosh MX 110 pre amp into VTA ST-70

Hello to all. I'm new to the group and about to experience my first modern tube amp. I'm waiting for the VTA ST-70 kit I ordered from Bob Latino last week. Once built I plan to drive it with my McIntosh MX 100 pre amp/tuner into Pioneer HPM-100 or Kenwood LS-990 speakers. The questions are: 1. Has anyone done similar and how did they like the sound? 2. Is there anything I should be concerned about?
    Thank you in advance.

Welcome to the group and to the users of vta amps!

No concerns, the build will go fine, just follow the excellent instructions exactly
and solder ( preferably leaded 60/40 solder) well.

    Once again, welcome!

    Welcome!
I built my ST-70 also and as mentioned it's extremely well documented and supported. Take your time and follow the instructions and you can't go wrong.
I frequently drive mine with an MX-112 and it sounds fantastic. If you've already used your MX110 and speakers with other amps, then I think you'll be more than satisfied with the new ST-70.

It's done. The instructions couldn't have been clearer and it sounds great.

I’ve used a McIntosh C36 preamp and JBL L100T3 speakers (which I’m considering selling) with my ST-120 and the sound is fantastic. But I’m currently using a Cary SL100 and custom Klipsch Heresy’s that I think sounds a little better.

Your Pioneer speakers will probably sound similar to the JBL L100T3’s that I have.
