    Has anyone run a KT90EH in a VTA-70 or a modified ST-70 with a VTA board in it?

    Well that is a good question. I wanted to try something different. I've a few 6CA7 and EL34s. But I heard that the KT90 was meant for Classical and Jazz. Two genres that I listen to a lot of.

    If the tubes used make a difference you have a problem. VTA-70 is designed for EL34 anything else can only degrade the sound quality.

    Not everyone wants accurate sound however.
