    Love my RCA clear tops. Recently noticed on initial start-up (less than 1/2 a second) the center driver glows bright then goes back down to regular "luminescence" like the two side channel tubes. Does this mean center life span is ending? Sounds great, run a variac set at 118VAC.
    Thanks for comments before I start rolling tubes.

    It’s fine.  Mullard and Ei tubes do that too.  Totally normal.  Enjoy!
