    FM-3 parts Empty FM-3 parts

    Post by baddog1946 Mon Dec 27, 2010 4:58 am

    Hi
Has anybody got some serviceable circuit boards for an FM-3? I am looking for the true PC-7&8 FM-3 boards not the FM-1 boards they are a little different in the layout. I need a PC-12 as well.
Or maybe someone knows a good homebrew kit or site to make some of these boards or where to get some boards done at a reasonable cost. I am trying to restore a tuner and don't want to use a new style mother board.
I am also looking for a parts tuner for a reasonable price. eBay prices have gone nuts!!

    FM-3 parts Empty FM-3 boards

    Post by baddog1946 Mon Dec 27, 2010 3:20 pm

    Hi Phil:
No problem. I also am doing a new motherboard tuner project with parts from Chauncey Epperson. www.FM3zone.com but I want to have one that is completely stock as well so Let me know when you have them. Maybe you can send me some pics at that time.
Be careful removing the parts from them that's why I need them. They are FRAGILE!!
I have three tuners in variable shape for parts if you need anything. I m still looking for a cherry chassis with a good faceplate. Except for the boards I have lots of parts.

    Hi
yeah, know the brown cookies. It may take a few weeks until the one i got from an ak'er will arrive, then I'll check it. If in perfect condition and just alignment necessary I wouldn't rip it, but can't tell before I got it here. What's a cherry chassis?

Cherry chassis: one that has no rust, dents, scratches or spots in other words a virgin.

    Hi howard
baddog1946 wants the boards, ask him, I do't really need another chassis. I would only be interested in the dial wheel, if not warped!!
and maybe the knobs... shipping tho complete would be horrend for the parts I could use.
    Split it up...
