Question on Delux Triple Speaker posts Empty Question on Delux Triple Speaker posts

I have an ST-120 Amp I built back in November.. Love it!

I purchased this Amp kit and then I purchased the TRIPLE speaker posts. I have a photo below.

The Triple Speaker Posts are nice... I had a concern with them... They just fit in the rectangle hole and barely fit the narrow way. I put these in my amp and it was a hair between the brass of the post and the chasis.

These are the Speaker Posts -

Here is an owner of an nice pair of amps using these speaker posts.. Notice how the outer edge of the speaker post brass is just nearly touching the chasis.. Is that a problem? Would the amp short if the brass touched the amp chasis?

I worried about this so I ended up and still use these -

I was also thinking if you had some 1/4 to 1/6" black plastic washer in the TRIPLE speaker posts you could have the metal of the speaker post extend out past the chasis...

yes, the posts will short the amp out if they touch the chassis, so two solutions:
mount the boards on the outside of the amp (doesn't look as nice)
OR use a couple of black fiber washers between the posts and the mounting board so they are spaced out about 1/8"

Too close together for me! My solution doesn't look as nice but works great with the stock terminal strip. I have stopped using spade terminals on speaker cables since they never feel tight enough to me and they always seem to work loose over time. I have been using standard or locking banana plugs for about a year and have been happy. Previously I viewed banana plugs as low tech/low fi. These have stayed tight.
