ST35 capacitor ratings Empty ST35 capacitor ratings

Post by Guest Mon Apr 18, 2011 4:12 am

Are there any benefits in increasing the DC voltage ratings of the positive feedback cap (C3) from 200 to 400V and the coupling caps from 400V to 600V, other than perhaps prolonging their life span? Are the original ratings more than adequate?

    Thanks

    Hi,
The original MFD values are fine although I have had a few customers claim some
improvement by increasing the coupling caps C4 & C5 to .2 MFD.

There is not much room on the PC-13 to begin with and the original values sound just
fine to me. Increasing the voltage rating on these caps is a good idea in my opinion.
