Have PH15 Phono - need preamp Empty Have PH15 Phono - need preamp

Greetings from Sunny England (I wish)!

I am hankering after a ST-70 valve power amp and want to build one of Bob's kits.
I will need some sort of preamp as I use phono and one other source (Squeezebox).
Could I fit one of Roy's line amp pcbs into my 12" by 12" PH15 chassis and power it from the psu without compromising the
    phono stage sound quality?
Alternatively could I install a passive preamp? I don't want tone controls, just a volume control and source selector.
    Any thoughts on this?

Best way to do it is get something like my SP6 preamp which is the same size chassis as the PH15,
it has the Zmod line amp and power supply. I now have this on a single small board,
but you'd probably want to power it separately from the PH15.
You'll need a selector switch and volume control anyway, so you can always try passive and add the line amp if passive doesn't work well.
