new amp style for 2022

OK, finally, real life photos of the new amp style for either ST70 or ST120
this chassis is 14" wide x 10.5" deep instead of the usual 13" wide x 9.5" deep
same price - no quad cap, all the caps are under the hood, and the PCB is not exposed
the "classic" versions are still available.
M125 version coming soon, with stainless steel bottom

The amp looks very nice Roy. I have used 90° power plugs in the past if I didn't like the power plug pointing straight up. Are you also going to have an octal version of this top plate?

Its awesome. Overdue! Also, where would the stepped Pot go? I want to tear down my 120 and build on this chassis!

That said, I can see how this makes sense from a manufacturing and heat management point of view

I like the design but concerned about the vertical connections, I think it would add undue stress to the connections.

Also, I though audio input in the front was desireable due to noise?

So I've got six of these ready to go.
Volume pot? Just drill a hole for it.
Plastic top? R U kidding? Solid 1/8" aluminum plate.

I agree with all of this. Also, the plug seems kind of close to a heat generator (transformer), I would not like my audio connections to go straight up, trying to secure speaker cables could be difficult. With the exception of the input audio connections on the front, I like the current design. Just my two cents. Thank you

I like the design and it is safer if you have kids around. I would love to see inside the chassis.

Love the size and layout. Would look nice if the top panel was brushed or had some finish other than what it looks like in the picture. Is this the production finish?

With the new chassis layout, what does this do to adding the triode/pentode switches?

I'm liking this. I haven't built a VTA120. This might be the platform.

On the bottom view it looks like there’s a quad-cap or bi-cap.

if you want triode-pentode switching that just adds two holes

same chassis also coming to the M125 monoblock amps (as soon as I can get some more transformers in a couple weeks)
plus a new M100 monoblock amp using two KT120 tubes for 100w/channel and M70 monoblocks with two KT88 tubes for 70wpc

Will you consider offering a rebuild kit for users who currently have kits that would like to convert?

sure, that would simply be the bottom chassis box and the aluminum top plate, and those are available anytime, although not shown on the website yet

YES, available now (just won't have transformers for 3 weeks) but if you're swapping from an older chassis to a newer chassis, EZ
