I appreciate the reply...I figured it might be ok without a separate stage but being new to the Dyna family, I'm unsure of the details.

The PAS phono stage is also easily modified for closer compliance to RIAA (you lose the capability for NAB Tape Head and flat microphone usage, but that doesn't matter to most people) and to upgrade parts.
