    very cool video (I watched the Mullard one) and very high tech automation manufacturing during the 50s!
    I always wondered how they formed the glass around the pins at the bottom, now I know!

    yes me too, really interesting to see the whole process and how automation crept into the production process, never knew about the getter, always kind wondered how they got that silver lining inside the tube, I thought it was a sign of age until I saw new tubes........
