Music media sales have changed a lot from 1973 to 2017 .. From 1973 to 1982 everything was either vinyl records or cassette tapes. The compact disk was introduced in 1982 and in 1983 CD sales started to make a dent in media sales. CD sales ruled the roost in the 90's and early 2000's. The last 10 years or so CD sales have declined big time as downloads and streaming services took over. What is interesting is that vinyl records started a resurgence in 2005 or so. I moved to my present location in 1998 and there are three "thrift stores" close to where I live. At that time (1998) they were selling used vinyl for 50 cents to $1.00 each. Now these same vinyl records are $1.00 to $3.00 each. Music media sales have really changed over the years. What do you think is the future of music media sales ?
