MKiii Output Transformer Empty MKiii Output Transformer

Post by rudes Sat Sep 19, 2020 4:25 pm

Has anyone ever seen a MKiii output transformer with six wires on the secondary side? Instead of just the usual yellow, brown, orange, black...It also has a gray and cloth covered wire as well for a total of six wires. The only wires a get a meter reading on are the gray and black wires.MKiii Output Transformer Trans10

rudes ---- Dynaco made a MkIII with Public Address outputs (70 volt, if I remember correctly) in addition to the normal 4 (Yellow/Brown/Orange/Black) wires. I don't remember what the extra wire colors were. Model was A-431-70.

It shows up in the Dynaco Transformer Manual, in the table of transformers.

    See the following links:

rudes --- I don't know what that number is???? Look at the 1st Link in my reply, the one with <<==== (on the right)

There is a Transformer Table in that link. That is where I got the A-431-70 from.

Try googling your complete number 454353....Z353, and see what turns up. It might be some equivalent transformer's number??
