What happened to the SP9? Not everyone likes "straight wire gain". To get a preamplifier anymore with tone controls it's either vintage or over $3500.00 for the cheapest new, anything. If and SP9 comes up for sale, GONE faster than the blink of an eye. Just don't understand why no tone controls anymore.

I've got a couple of extra 1980's/1990's equalizers that I'd part with. Cheap.
Before I broke down and got hearing aids (work GREAT!) I was trying to correct my audio perception with equalizers. They're better than treble and bass pots; not as good as 25 year old ears, though.
