    I am planning to use my Sansui 9090 receivers preamp with my rebuilt
    ST70 on her first effort to make a little music.I'm concerned I am overlooking
    an issue that might arise from such a combo.I'm a total rookie and
    and I'm pretty pleased I haven't burned down the house or electrocuted
    myself but I don't want to blow it now.I've enjoyed looking over everyones
    shoulder at there projects and have found many of the posts helpful with my project.

    shouldn't be a problem at all using the preamp outputs to the ST70 input, those are super classic receivers!
    There are a couple on ebay from $500 to $1300.

    Running a solid-state device as a "preamp" for a Stereo 70 should work just fine. It's not like running a PAS into many transistor amplifiers with their too-low input impedances.
