A guy locally has a pair of Bozak Century console speakers, CS-4005. They look to be huge, walnut cabs, have not seen them yet. He is asking $575 for the pair. I looked them up and they are well respected with a few shortcomings...I guess the tweeter array aims at your knees and some mount it on top....anyway, was going to get some larger speakers to really crank up the Dynas and saw these....anyone know of the quality, efficiency, price etc. whether these would be a good thing to pursue? Thanks...

Great Maker ... those are some BIG speakers!
No personal experience, but I'd think the tweeter array would tend to alleviate any imaging problems, as they're angled to fill the room. From the looks of things, they're more of a cellular horn arrangement. Could be an issue in a smaller room ... the angle of each tweeter isn't that great, and from what I understand you need a fairly large room to allow the soundstage to develop properly - 15 feet is too close to get the full effect of these boxes - more like 20 feet is considered adequate.
Got me reading up on them ... real interesting build. The woofers are unique in that they're pressed from a super secret slurry blend, and they're thicker towards the coil. There's also a special coating applied to approximately the inner third to stiffen them up even further to improve transient response and cone control. From the reviews, I'd say it worked ...
