I am in the process of rebuilding a PAS3 which had been stripped of the AC outlets and the power cord. I could care less about having the convenience of the ac outlets since I would never use them. I am unable to locate replacements and without them I am unsure of the best way to tie in the power cord with the transformer mains, the on/off switch, and the 2 leads which feed from one side the power cord and one of the transformer leads to the power supply. This seems like a lot to wire nut together. Does anyone have any suggestions for a proper way to do this without the AC outlets or know of a source for them?

Thanks, but when you read the listing, they are out of stock.

You could use a 2-lug terminal strip for the AC power cord and to make your connections to the switch and transformer leads. I would not use any wire nuts for any of the connections; they are not a reliable connection. The new regulated power supply from Tube Nirvana is easy to build and works flawlessly. It also simplifies your wiring.

I wouldn't use wire nuts. I would twist the wires together, add some solder to make sure that you have a solid connection and then cover the whole thing with heat shrink tubing. It makes for a clean and secure connection. BTW, put the tubing on before you make the connection. I've made that mistake before!
