Hi Eminence,
I noticed from the photo that you have the ST _under_ a shelf and a bunch of other gear. These units do get hot and they don't like it.... If you can, I'd suggest that you place it as high up in the stack so that you don't bake the other kit, and if at all possible, on the top of the cabinet so that the tubes can "watch the ceiling". The less heat the tubes accumulate the better the operate and the longer they'll last ...

+1 on what antipodean said about the amp on the top shelf.
They double as a good room heater in the winter.
