I've got the three screws on the rear panel removed
which should let the chassis or cover slide out.

    It doesn't.

    What am I missing?

Recall this is the reissue PAS3, the Series 2.

3 screws on the faceplate ???? There is no screws on the original faceplate.
Is this something different then dynaco pas3 as described in dynaco's manual ?

a pas3 is opened via the 4 screws on the shortsides, then both bottom and top cover is ready to pry out.

Series II, series 2 - It is the reissue.

    Screws on the back panel.
