PAS Cabinet Mounting Hardware Empty PAS Cabinet Mounting Hardware

Post by boycephoto Thu Apr 01, 2010 1:35 pm

I bought a PAS a long time ago. It came with a Dyna walnut cabinet but it was not attached. Would someone tell me what the stock Dynaco mounting hardware is and how it was used. Thanks in advance. Very Happy

    Hi Dave,
From memory..The CAB-1 has (2) counter sunk holes in the base
of the wood (veneered) cabinet. These should correspond with the PAS
bottom cover which has a total of (6) holes of which (4) are for the
rubber feet. The (2) smaller holes are the holes that you will use for
cabinet. The (4) rubber feet are removed from the PAS but retained and
remounted to the wood cabinet if you choose with suitable wood screws.
The CAB-1 kit included a peel & stick felt like strips..maybe (2) for
use as a spacer and protection from scratches to the PAS top cover as
you slide the unit into the cabinet. These strips can be afixed to the
under side of the top portion of the cabinet...One near the front and
one near the back. Foam rubber, cork etc should work fine.

You will need (2) wood or sheet metal screws.I believe # 8 screws of
suitable lenght to secure the wood cabinet to the chassis, but not to
long as to contact the second tier circuit board chassis or underside
componets/wiring. These (2) screws should include flat washers.

You will need to fuss with this a bit to get it level & evenly spaced
    in the cabinet.
